Timber Creek is one of the most scenic golf course in our area
Who Plays here?
Par-3 Golf Course geared towards beginners, families, seniors, and those wanting to sharpen their short game.
HOLE TO REMEMBER: The finishing hole is a 100-yards test with a large pond in front of the green.
UNFORGETABLE: Obstacles abound on #6, a par-3 that plays just 117 yards but has towering oak trees right and left and a pond that swallows shots hit too far.
INSIDE INFO: Out of bounds lurk on both side of #1, a 150-yard hole that demands a smooth, unhurried swing. Hit it short and you're in a sand trap in front of the green.
Perfect for beginners, families, seniors, or improving your short game.
DID YOU KNOW: The course, part of which butts up against the Manatee County Golf Course, was once an 18-hole layout called Santa Rosa. Over the years Santa Rosa was shorted to its present size and renamed Timber Creek in the late 1970's. The course is owned and operated by the members of its condominium association.

****From the VP of Buildings. [John Low] ****
A big thank you to Jim Rozeboom and Marshall Muller for their work in repairing 5 carport posts. 4 of them were rusted out at the base creating a serious stability problem. The 5th post was bent and was carefully straightened. Due to the efforts of Jim and Marshall, a great expense was avoided by the residents of Timber Creek.
Also, at this writing, Bob Long is replacing the A/C enclosure at the rear of the 1800 Bldg. He is being assisted by John Tevald, John Burdiak, and Dougie McCormick. Thank you all.……………….John Low
After all these years, it's still embarrassing for me to play on the American golf tour. Like the time I asked my caddie for a sand wedge and he came back ten minutes later with a ham on rye. ~ Chi Chi Rodriguez
The ball retriever not long enough to get my putter out of the tree. ~ Brian Weis
Swing hard in case you hit it…………….. ~ Dan Marino
My favorite shots are the practice swing and the conceded putt. The rest can never be mastered……. Lord Robertson
******Grounds Report [By Bob Lubbers]******
Bob and George have pretty much completed the . Spring work on grounds. Cold weather has damaged many plants but it appears that with the return of warm weather (SOMETIME!!!) that most of our plants will recover quite well. We'll see what next fall brings. George Savada has been a great help this year. He is a resident of Switzerland and is a retired chemical engineer and speaks several languages. He has a great interest in "green" things, ecology, and recycling. His work and expertise are greatly appreciated.
********Whimsical and Wacky Wits********
There is a two-letter word that perhaps has more meaning than any other two-letter word, and that is "UP." It's easy to understand UP, meaning toward the sky or at the top of the list, but when we waken in the morning, why do we wake UP? At a meeting, why does a topic come UP? Why do we speak UP and why are the officers UP for election and why is it UP to the secretary to write UP a report? We call UP our friends, we use it to brighten UP a room, polish UP the silver, we warm UP the leftovers and clean UP the kitchen. We lock UP the house and some guys fix UP the old car. At other times the little word has real special meaning: People stir UP trouble, line UP for tickets, work UP an appetite, and think UP excuses. To be dressed is one thing but to be dressed UP is special. And this is confusing: A drain must be opened UP because it is stopped UP. We open UP a store in the morning, but we close it UP at night. We seem to be pretty mixed UP about UP. To be knowledgeable of the proper uses of UP, look UP the word in the dictionary. In a desk size dictionary, UP takes UP almost 1/4th the page And definitions add UP to about thirty. If you are UP to it, you might try building a UP list, a list of the many ways UP is used It will take UP a lot of your time, but if you don't give UP, you may wind UP with a hundred or more. When it threatens to rain, we say it is clouding UP.
When the sun comes out we say it is clearing UP.
When it rains, it wets UP the earth. When it doesn't rain for a while, things dry UP. One could go on and on, Fess UP...you like this! One could go on and on, but I'll wrap it UP, for now my time is UP, so I'll shut UP.....

A bicycle can’t stand alone ; it is too tired.
A will is a dead giveaway.
The guy who fell onto an upholstery machine was fully covered. When she saw her first strands of gray hair, she thought she would. die. As the tree falls--so must it lie;
As the man lives--so must he die!
As a man dies--such must he be;
through the ages of eternity!
